The inventory of leprosy settlement or colonies in Indonesia was done in the year 2003. At that time the inventory for Aceh province could not be done because of security reasons.But after years then access to Aceh province was good and secured. The writer has opportunity to do inventory in 2005 after the Tsunami disaster.There are 5 Leprosy Colonies in Aceh Province i.e:
1. Pangwa
2. Matang Limeng
3. Kuala Keretau Barat
4. Kolam Natam
5. Po Diamat
Only one Leprosy colony (Kolam Natam) that did not damage during the tsunami 26 Dec 2004. The other 4, were severely damaged. People affected by leprosy and the families members follow the instruction from the government to join other Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). During the visit time, the IDPs from the 4 leprosy colonies damaged were put in barracks.
