Po Diamat leprosy colony was erected by Dutch in 1960 Housing and living cost were provided by Dutch until the year 1965. After this year the responsibility was taking over by local government of Aceh Besar District. Aceh Besar District then changed to Banda Aceh City government. The responsibility then take over by the Aceh Besar City. Aceh Besar City provided subsidy with ration consist of 15 kg rice per couple, cash Rp 3000 per head per day. The donation also derived from Social Department such as cooking oil 7 ons, z, salty fish 2 kg and rice every 3 months. These donations are still continued until the tsunami happened.

Inhabitants:
It was recorded that before tsunami 140 inhabitants within 72 couples. Among them 12 people are ex-leprosy patients. After tsunami inhabitants left 71 within 28 couples. Ex-leprosy patients remain 10. Soon after the tsunami all the remaining inhabitants were staying at temporary camp in front of Jamik Darussalam mosque. At the time of visit some of them left the camp already, they go to another places for bagging.
It was recorded that 7 of them all male, are staying in the camp donated by OSPHAN.
