8. Provincial Leprosy www.dryaminleprosy.blogspot.com

The hospitals are:
RSK P.Sicanang, Belindahan, Lausimomo, Huta Salem, Tugurejo, Sumberglagah, Kediri, Balun, Spolong and Tenggarong
These hospitals were subordinated by the province government. It was reported that total number of patient attendance were significantly decreased since the economic crises hit Indonesia 1998. RSK Kediri did not perform any surgeries activities since 1998.
Four hospitals (P.Sicanang, Tugurejo, Sumberglagah, Kediri) have diversified their functions to cater for non-leprosy patients. Tugurejo is in self-reliance on operational costs and will be established as general hospital specialized for Thalassemia. The Kediri hospital diversifies the function on Elderly People Health Services.
Spolong has closed its service on the In-Patients Department. Balun is not a leprosy hospital anymore and has changed the function to specialized hospital on skin and eyes disease, nose ear and throat diseases. Tenggarong has been closed since 2003.
Based on the provincial policy of Noth Sumatera, RSK Belindahan has been merged to P.Sicanang (2002), and RSK Huta Salem merged with Lausimomo since 1992.
