Damien Gurah at Kediri

Damian Gurah was erected
in 1994, about 9 km away from Kediri. It belongs to the catholic church
of Kediri, “Santa Lusia Foundation”. It is not leprosarium but it is a
place for vocational training such as carpenter, farming, gardening, poultry,
chicken breeding, building constructors. It has 3 hectares of land area. At
present there are 11 ex-leprosy patients trained here. The criteria for the
trainee are in good manner, productive ages, motivated to work; after 2 years
been trained they should go out to the society (self-reliant).
