17.3 NTB, Panda leprosy Settlement, hospital - www.dryaminleprosy.blogspot.com

 General information
There is limited documentation on Panda hospital. It should actually be defined as a settlement, because there are no hospital facilities.
52 people live in the settlement of which 16 are affected by leprosy.
Since 1998 no new people have been admitted to the settlement.

Medical services
There is no in-patient department but there is a daily clinic (OPD), run by a paramedic. A sub health centre is located 700 meter from the settlement for general health issues, especially mother and child care; it is run by a midwife.
The nearest health centre is located 12 km from the settlement and a general hospital 10 km away. They are willing to treat leprosy patients, but there is no workshop for footwear or prosthesis.
